Charm Lindner

Wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, award winning artist, award winning kite maker and long time resident of Jefferson County MO.  When I retired my husband worried I would get bored so he signed me up for a watercolor and drawing class.  I really took  to drawing and then right into colored pencils.  I enjoy watercolor sumi-e painting, but my first love is colored pencil.  I have taken many awards for my drawings in numerous shows including "The St. Louis Artist Guild", the International Colored Pencil Society of America and the Best in Show 2009 at Jefferson County Art Guild with watercolored kite "Taku Kichie-A Japanese Lady".  Most of my paintings and drawings are very tight and realistic.  I look at an object and I draw it in all its detail.  A small twig, a feather in the sand. a flower, a babbling brook, all of these things I try to draw in every detail so it looks like you have the object in your hand.  I want to feel life in there.
