Pamela Cocos: After retiring in 2017, I decided to try something I had never done before. It was pretty much an accident (painting with the grandkids) that I learned how much I liked being creative, but gathering the right kind of information needed has been critical. So many options! After going through many tutorials by several artists, I decided to try creating paintings from photographs that mean something to a person - a realistic view of a memory. So in December 2019 I landed on oil painting. Most of my paintings are from memories and photos of family members as well as favorite memories of friends. I have donated several paintings to be auctioned at benefit events to help others through my art and have also painted some commissioned work. I love painting and challenging myself to keep learning.
